Sylvester Stallone promises a punch up with Jean Claude Van Damme

It's a question that has plagued pubs for centuries - who would win a fight between Sylvester Stallone and Jean Claude Van Damme? Well, when The Expendables 2 arrives in cinemas next year, there will finally be an answer.
Jean Claude Van Damme, affectionately referred to as The Muscles From Brussels by movie fans, is the latest big name to sign up to the sequel to last year's Expendables.
The film's star and writer, Sylvester Stallone told Entertainment Weekly: 'We'll have a big showdown between me and Van Damme, which has been anticipated for a long time, so it should be a good one.'
The Rambo star is not directing the follow up to last year's hit action fim, and instead it will be Con Air director Simon West yelling action.
Other names thought to be joining the project, which follows a gang of middle aged mercenaries on a blood soaked fight for justice, include Chuck Norris and Nicolas Cage.
In the interview, Sly explained that he wanted to cram as many action stars in to the film as possible.
'We're trying to work out different scenarios. I like using people that had a moment and then maybe have fallen on some hard times and give them another shot,' he said.
He mentioned Michael Biehn who starred as Kyle Reese in James Cameron's 1987 Terminator, and Michael Pare, who made his name in a series of schlocky sci-fi films, as the kind of actors he'd consider working with.
'I like those kinds of guys. Someone did it for me and I like to see if I can do it for them,' he added.
'We also need some new blood in there, a Navy SEAL-type, because with the Expendables none of them have 20-20 vision anymore. They need some help, man.'
Perhaps this help will come from another prospective member of the cast, John Travolta.
'It's possible,' said Sly. 'The one thing I've learned is what is a fact on Monday is a complete fallacy on Tuesday. A lot of it is scheduling.
Earlier this week, Jason Statham revealed he would soon be heading to Bulgaria to reprise his role for the sequel.
