Van Damme's fries on the wall show

KICK-boxing film star Jean-Claude Van Damme may have Belgian roots but he's no fan of fancy food.

The Muscles from Brussels, 49, snubbed a posh dinner for McDonald's.

The actor flew into London to discuss his upcoming fly-on-the-wall show with ITV producers who had booked a table at ultra-cool Soho Hotel, where a fillet steak is £35.

An insider said: "He didn't fancy any poncey grub and said they should go to McDonald's.

"Everyone was a bit taken back as normally stars want something swankier not cheaper.

"Everyone decamped and there was this surreal situation where they were having a sensitive meeting about Jean Claude's TV show in a fast food joint."
