Catherine Deneuve, Jean-Claude Van Damme to attend Molodist film festival in Kyiv

The 39th Molodist International Film Festival will kick off in Kyiv on October 24, with the festival's opening and closing ceremonies held at the Kyiv Cinema.
"As is a tradition, during the opening ceremony, the honorary president of the Molodist festival, Ukrainian President Viktor Yuschenko, will award the Scythian Deer prize for contributions to the development of international cinematography. It will be presented to [French actress] Catherine Deneuve," the film festival's art director, Andriy Khalpakhchi, said at a press conference in Kyiv on Thursday.
"The well-known actor Jean Claude Van Damme will be the honorary guest at the closing ceremony. He will come to the festival to present his master class. He is also planning to shoot a movie in Ukraine as a film director," he said.
He also said that famous French film director Tony Gatlif would be the chairman of the main international jury.
The first Molodist film festival was held in 1970.
